Nelson Saito, graduated in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Paraná in 1985. He has Specialization Courses in New Product Innovation from Stanford University - CA, USA; Product Development - Berkley University, CA, USA. Innovation Consulting at Unindus / Compiegne Technological University (UTC) France. He worked at Furukawa Industrial S.A from 1986 to 2002 in various areas and departments. Created the company Syts Consultoria where he worked from 2002 to 2006. The company specialized in Finance & Marketing. Worked as Consultant for SEBRAE – Business Plan elaboration. He returned to Furukawa Electric Latam in 2006. From 2006 to 2014 he was responsible for developing the solution - FBS - Furukawa Broadband System (FTTH solution). Worked from 2014 to 2017 as General Manager of Product and Application of the Optical Cable, Structured Cabling, FTTH connectivity solutions and Optical Equipment lines. In 2018 he was appointed as General Manager for New Business development - responsible for the development of IoT and PaaS / SaaS solutions. Currently holds the position of Fellow for New Businesses & Startups. At the FTTH Council Americas, he participated in the creation of the LATAM Chapter in 2008 and was the first Chairman in the period from 2009 to 2010. He was the President of the entity in the period from 2015 to 2016. From 2016 to 2020 I work as a director on several committees and from October 2020 appointed as the President of the Fiber Broadband Association - LATAM Chapter for the term from 2020 to 2022.
