We are expecting a greater number of attendees to sign up for the FTTH Virtual Conference 2020, so the event has the potential for extensive outreach, brand promotion and new contact generation.  The FTTH Conference typically attracts an international audience (82% Europe) and the virtual event will only enhance this further.  

The virtual event also has the benefit of not needing to plan or incur travel costs, hotel charges or other expenses.  Furthermore, exhibition booths can be run remotely from your work place or home office.

We are using two software platforms for the FTTH VirtualConference 2020

• 6Connex to provide the virtual conference environment
• Brella to provide intelligent networking

The two pieces of software link seamlessly from one to the other using hyperlinks

6CONNEX

• The 6Connex software provides the conference and exhibition environment, allowing delegates to easily navigate and access content from the various different rooms
• It also allows delegates and sponsors to network directly (using the ‘chat’ module) with other delegates and sponsors
• Delegates that arrive at your virtual exhibition booth will be able to interact directly with your sales teams via 1:1 chat and your sales reps are notified when people arrive on your stand
• Most of the workshops and conference keynotes and sessions will run ‘live’ during European time but they will also be available ‘on demand’ immediately after the event finishes

BRELLA networking software

• The Brella networking software (which will open 2-3 weeks before the event starts) provides the intelligent networking platform
• When delegates first log in to Brella, they will be asked to select their ‘intents’ followed by:

1. ‘Categories’ -broad topics that attendees will network about e.g. active optical products, passive optical products, machines, finance, software, planning services, business solutions, customer premises equipment etc
2. ‘Interests’-more detailed or specialised topics that are related to categories e.g. interests under the ‘machines’ category might be blowing machines, jetting machines, cable feeders etc.
3. ‘Intents’–the goals that attendees wish to achieve with each interest they have selected -these will include the intents you defined in the first step.

• The Brella software then ‘matchmakes’ delegates with common interests and intents together and proposes suggested contacts for you to reach out to and network with
• Brella also (a) lists all sponsors with their logos, product listings and hyperlinks directly to their virtual exhibition booths in the 6Connex environment and (b) carries details of the workshop and conference agenda with hyperlinks directly to the relevant workshop and conference rooms

We had nearly 3,500 people attend the FTTH Conference 2019.  Research suggests that, on average, one can expect 1.5x the number of people to register for a virtual event.  Therefore, we are hoping to have several thousand people register for the FTTH Virtual Conference 2020.
