Workshop 4bData-driven Acceleration and cost-reduction of Network Rollout and Service Fulfillment
Organised by Amdocs, with contributions from Keypro, Setics, and 3-GIS
In this workshop we will highlight, with case studies, the key role of GIS, resource and service inventories, in driving automation, acceleration and cost-reduction of FTTH and 5G planning, deployment, service fulfilment, and service assurance. We will also discuss the key role of network data platforms in enabling infrastructure reuse.
2 December 2020 11:30-11:35 Session
2 December 2020 11:35-11:55 Session
In this talk we will discuss the critical role of resource and service inventories for accelerated and automated FTTH and 5G rollout and service fulfillment, as well as the role of data federation, and high-speed graph databases to support real-time, automated network change. We will present a case study about a European tier 1 that leverages comprehensive network data to provision FTTH service across fiber infrastructure from multiple 3rd-party providers.
2 December 2020 11:55-12:15 Session
In this talk we will present case studies revealing typical GIS data gaps at service providers, their impact, and operational improvements realized with better data, for FTTH and 5G roll-outs. We will also present the growing needs for integration across the pipeline of network information and why this requires a flexible API approach
2 December 2020 12:15-12:35 Session
In this talk we will present case studies illustrating the data needed for optimizing and cost-reducing FTTH and 5G rollouts, as well as maximizing infrastructure reuse. We will also discuss the impact of ensuring network data creation and seamless integration from design to implementation phases.
2 December 2020 12:35-12:55 Session
In this talk we will discuss the importance of unified data management (UDM) in breaking down data silos and ensuring data integrity and scalability. We will also discuss the advantages of moving UDM to the cloud.
2 December 2020 12:55-13:00 Session
