Dr. Nicolas Blanchard

Dr. Nicolas Blanchard is Chief Clients and Products Officer (CCO) at Hamburg Commercial Bank. The French was born 5 September 1968 in Geneva (Switzerland) and is member of the Management Board since December 2018 at the former HSH Nordbank AG. From January 2018, the doctor of law worked at legal firm Dentons LLP in Munich as off counsel with a focus on banking and finance. Previously, Nicolas Blanchard was personally liable partner from 2012 to 2017 at Düsseldorf-based Bankhaus Lampe KG, where he was responsible for retail and corporate customer business and was also head of Capital Markets. Before that (1998-2012), Nicolas Blanchard held various positions at UniCredit in Munich with responsibility for, among others, the Capital
Markets and Project & Asset Based Financing units. Nicolas Blanchard studied law at the universities of Bielefeld, Tufts
(Medford, MA), Lausanne, Strasbourg and Heidelberg and passed the second state examination in Hamburg. He was a research assistant at the Ecole Polytechnique in Paris and at the Max Planck Institute in Hamburg. In 2000, he gained a doctorate at Heidelberg University. Nicolas Blanchard is married and the father of two children.
